These pictures of a bakery shop had the note “c. 1917 or 1918″ and the names of the husband and wife who owned it. I think it’s interesting to see how bakery shops were arranged, and there are pictures of the racks and “behind the counter” at this shop.
I love these cute pictures of children and babies, from the 1930s! It looks like they turned one of the infants pictures into a post card, and I’ve scanned the front and back of it. I’m finished scanning this album… and not sure if I want to scan another Modern Priscilla issue, or the 1922 St. Louis Fashion Pageant magazine… Thoughts?

Here are a few of my latest scans. The family photo in the white frame was dated 1913 on the back. The last one is clearly a class photo that some small child or angsty teen has drawn thru and torn up a bit – is it from the first decade of the 20th century? [...]
These pictures were inserted into archival plastic sleeves with no apparent order! There is a very pretty young girl, and on the back it’s dated “Christmas 1885″. Another, from 1889 by Hagendorff of Milwaukee Wisconsin… is this one of the same girl? I like the one of the older woman with glasses in a black [...]
I found these slides, of the same couple as the last, in a box labeled “August 9 – 45″, so presumably from 1945 … it looks like they attended a wedding and snapped some family photos, or maybe the wedding picture is just accidentally mixed in. You can see the hat and dress styles of [...]
