Here are the first four Gibson Girl prints from the portfolio “Twelve New Gibson Girls, hitherto unpublished” that I scanned for the Carondelet Historical Society as part of their efforts to digitalize their collection. These prints were dated 1909 and are titled:
- A Daughter of the South
- Not Worrying About Her Rights
- The DayDream
My favorite illustration is “Not Worrying About Her Rights”; she does look absolutely worried, and what a crazy elaborate updo!
