1920s Lincoln Automobile Ads

1920s Lincoln Automobile Ads

This entry is part 8 of 17 in the series Automobile Ads Scrapbook

Here are some old Lincoln car ads from the 1920s and before. They include illustrated ads for the Berline Landaulet, the Cabriolet, and the 4 passenger Coupe. My favorite illustration is of a family watching a biplane in the sky, leaned against their Lincoln vehicle.

16mm home video film about The San Diego Zoo in the 1950s

16mm home video film about The San Diego Zoo in the 1950s

This entry is part 1 of 1 in the series Digitized 16mm Films

This was my first time attempting to digitize film with my iPhone and run a 16mm film projector. To test it, I bought the cheapest 16mm film that I could, which was labeled “16mm Film – Car Stunt Driving San Diego Zoo 1950s? Found Footage Incredible Rare”. Enjoy this old zoo and family vacation film footage, and let me know any info in the comments… or tips on running a 16mm projector and digitizing the films (I’ve since bought another one, a vintage Bell and Howell Specialist 550 Filmosound projector).

A bakery shop in 1917

A bakery shop in 1917

These pictures of a bakery shop had the note “c. 1917 or 1918” and the names of the husband and wife who owned it.  I think it’s interesting to see how bakery shops were arranged, and there are pictures of the racks and “behind the counter” at this shop.

9 Vintage Baby Shower Cards from the 1960s

9 Vintage Baby Shower Cards from the 1960s

This entry is part 8 of 10 in the series 1960s New Baby and Baby Shower Cards

This expectant mother must have had a heck of a party in the heat of that August of 1962! This was the baby shower for her first child, and I think it was the first grandchild on either side. It’s always extra special to be first (speaking as the eldest child). Here are 9 different vintage baby shower cards from 1962. I love the gentle, cute, illustrations… and, ofcourse, the rhymes inside!

Last of the 1930s family photos – children and babies

Last of the 1930s family photos – children and babies

I love these cute pictures of children and babies, from the 1930s! It looks like they turned one of the infants pictures into a post card, and I’ve scanned the front and back of it. I’m finished scanning this album… and not sure if I want to scan another Modern Priscilla issue, or the 1922 St. Louis Fashion Pageant magazine… Thoughts?

1920s old car and family photos

This old family photo with the art deco border stamped August 20, 1927 on the back, is one of my favorite pictures so far. I wish I knew the story behind it, but I can imagine on the expressions of the people around this old Model T. The old woman looks absolutely...
