This is a hand made silk hobble dress from the 1950s. Perfect for a cocktail party or special occasion! It’s fully lined, although the sewn in lining has some color bleed. There is NO “kicker” or slit at the bottom of this dress – it is 37″ from the hips to the hem and a TRUE rare “hobble skirt dress”.
The fabric near the metal zipper reads: “marque deposee Fortunella” which translates into “registered trademark Fortunella”. I have not been able to find any more information about this unique dress.
This vintage green paisley dress has a classic hourglass silhouette with the measurements of:
36″ bust that has a little wiggle room because it’s a draped
37″ hips all the way to the end of the skirt
