More about this Item

This dress looks like it belongs in a Pan Am terminal in 1969. It captures that high-energy, “Jet Set” aesthetic perfectly with a bold, graphic print that resembles aerodynamic feathers, surfboards, or atomic abstract shapes zipping across a bright blue background.

The silhouette is a classic, easy-to-wear shirt dress with a button-down front, a sharp fold-over collar, and short sleeves finished with adorable decorative button tabs. The fabric has a lovely silky sheen and cool hand-feel, likely a high-quality vintage polyester or nylon blend.

It features a “boxy” cut that doesn’t demand a tiny waist, making it comfortable for all-day wear. You can wear it loose for a shift look or cinch it with a belt (not included) to create an hourglass shape.

Condition Notes (Freshly Laundered): We have treated this piece to an OxiClean soak, so the colors are bright and crisp! However, it is a true vintage survivor and has some construction flaws to note:

  • Back Neck Seam: There is a small hole/seam separation starting at the back of the collar. This is a stress point that could be reinforced with a quick stitch.

  • Lining: The interior lining is pulling away/detaching at the armholes. This is completely invisible from the outside and does not affect wearability, but you will want to be gentle when sliding your arms in.

  • General Wear: There is some light surface wear to the fabric fold at the neckline consistent with age.

Sizing & Fit: Based on measurements, this fits like a modern US Large (12/14). The waist is nearly the same width as the bust, offering a straight, forgiving fit.
