More about this Item
If you ever needed to give a keynote speech and then immediately attend a gala, this is the jacket you would wear. Sourced from the estate of a brilliant scientist, this piece hails from the era of “Power Dressing” (likely the 1980s or 90s), but does it with a distinct, elegant twist.
The fabric is a luminous champagne or pale gold satin jacquard featuring a subtle, swirling paisley motif. It catches the light without being blindingly metallic. The silhouette is a fascinating fusion: it has the notch collar and length of a Western business blazer, but fastens with traditional Asian knotted frog closures.
Inside, hidden within the lining, are sewn-in shoulder pads that give the jacket that classic, structured vintage shape (perfect for the current “Office Siren” or “Mob Wife” aesthetic trends). It is fully lined and feels substantial.
Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition. The gold fabric is clean and bright. The lining is intact. The frog closures are tight.
Sizing & Fit: No size tag is present. Based on measurements, this fits like a modern Medium to Slim Large (US 8-10).
