We don’t use the word “showstopper” lightly, but this dress demands it. If you have been looking for the perfect vintage piece for a summer wedding, a gallery opening, or a date night where you want to turn every head in the room, you have found it.

Dating to the late 1960s, this mini shift dress is constructed from a gorgeous, slubby woven fabric (likely a cotton/linen blend) in a saturated, sunset orange. It features a high, gathered neckline that is demure in the front, only to reveal a daring, geometric keyhole cutout in the back.

The dress is framed with beautiful matching orange lace running down both sides and along the hem, adding a touch of texture without disrupting the clean Mod lines. It closes with a sturdy vintage metal zipper and two hook-and-eye closures at the neck.

Condition Report: Excellent Vintage Condition. This dress has been well-loved but well-preserved.

  • Fabric: There is some light, natural pilling to the woven fabric, which is typical for textured cotton/linen blends of this age.

  • Structure: Sturdy and wearable. The metal zipper glides smoothly.

  • Notes: There are a few loose threads here and there (common with this weave). No holes or stains were found during inspection.
