Unlike the scratchy polyester reproductions you see today, this beauty is crafted from 100% Rayon Crushed Velvet. That means it has a liquid-like drape, a soft hand feel, and a midnight-black depth that looks incredible in photographs. The bodice is adorned with a stark white, macramé-style floral lace appliqué that offers a stunning contrast—giving it that perfect “good girl gone grunge” vibe.

The Details: This dress features delicate spaghetti straps (sewn in tight and secure) and a back nylon zipper for a sleek fit. The skirt has a lovely sweep to it, perfect for wearing with Doc Martens or delicate strappy heels.

Condition Report: She is in Very Good Vintage Condition, especially considering rayon velvet is delicate. There are two things to note for full transparency:

  1. There is a very small break in the lace connector thread (pictured), likely from getting snagged in storage. It blends into the pattern and isn’t noticeable during wear.

  2. There is some minor seam slippage/pulling on the left side seam, likely from a previous owner trying to squeeze into this petite beauty. It is mostly invisible unless you are inspecting it under bright light or holding the fabric up to a window.
