This was such a fun photography workshop to organize with Joann of Clean Cut Creations Vintage Auto Repair. I have always wanted to put together a “shoot out” event, after having attended several on the coasts. The fact that we chose a vintage theme and were able to round up some classic cars, made things extra awesome.
I provided all the authentic vintage dresses, hats and wardrobe, I applied all the period styled makeup on the models, and guided their hair styles.

A 1950s styled picnic
This was our very last photo set at this vintage photography workshop that I styled and co-organized. Nikki and Amilee dressed up 1950s style, and pretended to go for a picnic. Nikki pretends to take pictures of Amilee with a vintage film camera,...
1920s Styled Photoshoot
Step back in time to the fabulous and rebellious 1920s with this stunning vintage-styled photoshoot! Featuring authentic Jazz Age fashion—complete with a cloche hat, drop-waist dress, and a vintage weasel fur stole—this set perfectly recreates the glamour and spirit of the Prohibition era. With makeup inspired by original 1920s advertisements and a period-perfect bobbed hairstyle, the model channels the daring “bad girl” vibe of the flapper generation. The backdrop of a vintage car, minimal color editing, and historically accurate styling make this photoshoot a vibrant homage to the exuberance and energy of the Roaring Twenties. A must-see for lovers of vintage fashion and history!
Country retro pinup
This was pinup model Amy W.’s last photo set at this workshop. She dressed in her own red gingham dress, red platform wedges, borrowed a cowboy hat, and posed in an old truck for a thoroughly classic retro country look.
I minimally post-processed these photos, because they looked so great naturally. What a cute modern retro photo shoot!
Red haired model with a matching red vintage car
I am really bad with knowing makes and models of classic cars, but I know that this is another Kodachrome red car, and i think it’s from the 1960s. It matches Anita’s hair!
Cheesecake Pinup in a Car Repair Garage
I was just in an increasingly humorous mood as this retro photography workshop progressed! I posed model Amilee in a vintage child’s dress from the 1950s, with a wrench, in the car repair garage. She gave the perfect helpless and silly expressions of a gal who wouldn’t know the gas tank from the radiator (I wouldn’t, either).
Pinup models on a South Pacific Set
This cute, humorous, cheesecake pinup photography set features pinup model Amy Mooney (Shooby Duwop) posing with a classic red car against a vintage beach backdrop. It looks like she’s on set of a 1950s beach flick! Later, pinup model Amy W. joins in, and they pretend that they’re lost on the way to the real beach (it does not help that they’re in Missouri, reading the map upside down).
Patriotic Pinup in the Willys Jeep
This impromptu patriotic pinup shoot at my Retro Car Workshop brought together vintage charm and mid-century style. Featuring Nikki in a classic 1940s polkadot dress with red beads and victory-roll-styled hair, the set celebrated the nostalgia of the World War II era. With the iconic Willys Jeep—a reminder of American innovation during WWII—as the backdrop, this photoshoot captured the enduring elegance and resilience of the 1940s. This session was both a creative exploration of history and a personal reflection on past projects.
Spooky Double Exposure Ghost Photos in the Garage
I love shooting double exposures in spooky settings such as this mechanic shop! Linzy Anna is styled WWII period in an authentic, vintage 1940s, cotton side zipping blue dress. She looks like the ghost of a girl, coming back to haunt the 1950s car that she tragically died in.
Retro styled pics with a vintage Oldsmobile car
This 1970s dress was almost drop waisted enough to pull off an authentic 1920s look. The wide brimmed hat is from the 1930s. This vintage Oldsmobile is from 1931 I think. I just had the model, Linzy Anna, pull her hair back in a classic low bun. She’s posed with an old suitcase, for a stranded motorist look.
Patriotic Pinup with an American Flag and Willys Jeep
Step back in time with this stunning patriotic pinup photoshoot featuring Amy W., styled as a classic All-American model. Dressed in a 1940s-inspired blue halterneck dress and draped in the American flag, Amy posed alongside a historic Willys Jeep, evoking the nostalgic spirit of WWII-era patriotism. With retro curls, red lipstick, and a vibrant Kodachrome tonal effect, the shoot seamlessly blends vintage styling with rich historical context.
1960s styled model with car pics
The 1960s are so fun to style for photoshoots! I love bright, bold, and over the top looks. These photos are mod, bold, and post processed with a slightly oversaturated Kodachrome effect that really makes Anita's red hair pop along side the red...
Vintage Styled Car Mechanic Pics
I did model Linzy Anna’s hair and makeup, and dressed her in an old ripped up vintage 1940s blue cotton dress. You can’t see the rips in these pictures, though! We were going for a “Rosie the riveter” look.
Vintage Photography Workshop Recap
October 2013 I collaborated with Clean Cut Creations to host a vintage styled photography workshop with classic cars. It was quite an adventure and a very ambitious project!
